"When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, 'This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know,' the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything--you can't conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him."

Neocons Influence Infiltrating Tea Parties (it is interesting that Sarah Palin now seems to be the spokesperson after the recent convention and is supporting Rick Perry for Texas Governor when there is a legitimate "tea party" candidate named Debra Medina in the race)

Here's Debra Medina's site and where she stands on the issues
http://www.medinafortexas.com/issues.php
Glenn Beck started bashing Medina yesterday 2/11/10 by painting her as a 9/11 Truther (it is very hypocritical to always tell your audience to "question with boldness" yet demonize those who do so). Medina said "I don't have all of the evidence there Glenn so I'm not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that." "I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard, there are some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I have not taken a position on that." Beck responded "I think the people in America might think that might be a yes." "I think I can write her off the list. Let me take another look at Kay Bailey Hutchinson if I have to," Beck said after Medina hung up the phone. "Rick [Perry] I think you and I could french kiss right now."

In Debra's response, she said "The real underlying question here, though, is whether or not people have the right to question our government. I think the fact that people are even asking questions on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered by so clearly taking their direction from special interests instead of the people, whether it's Rick Perry and his HPV mandate or Kay Hutchison and voting for the bank bailout. It is absolutely the right and duty of a free people to question their government. Texas does not need another politician who tells you what you want to hear, then violates your liberties and steals your property anyway. I fully expect to be questioned and to be held accountable as Governor, and that's the underlying issue here: should people be questioning their government. And the answer is yes, they should be."
Texans respond to the Medina/Beck interview on KLIF 570 (sounds like they siding with Medina)

Here's a few of the questions Truthers have been asking (are these legitimate questions?)
(1) Comprehensive list:

(2) Questions from Victim's families: http://www.911independentcommission.org/questions.html
(3) Others:

Victim's families assessment of the 9/11 Commission Report (looks to me like most of their questions fall into the inadequately answered or generally ignored categories)
http://911truth.org/downloads/Family_Steering_Cmte_review_of_Report.pdf
I can't claim to know the truth about this matter because there are too many unanswered questions and evidence gaps on both sides of the argument. I would have to agree with Debra in that there is simply not enough concrete evidence to suggest the official story is completely true or that the conspiracy theory is completely true. Any reasonable person has to ask themselves, "Why are there so many unanswered questions?" The same reasonable person would also most likely believe there is no way our government would carry out such an attack and harm its citizens on purpose. One thing is certain, "the government" is a very broad term and seems to be used very loosely on this issue.
If you want to see who really started the "tea party" (at least one year prior to its current form), try here.

Probably the most ridiculous story this year: South Carolina requires subversives to register
"The state's "Subversive Activities Registration Act," passed last year and now officially on the books, states that every member of a subversive organization, or an organization subject to foreign control, every foreign agent and every person who advocates, teaches, advises or practices the duty, necessity or propriety of controlling, conducting, seizing or overthrowing the government of the United States ... shall register with the Secretary of State."

Environmental Modification Convention (1977)
"It is the understanding of the Committee that the following examples are illustrative of phenomena that could be caused by the use of environmental modification techniques as defined in Article II of the Convention: earthquakes, tsunamis; an upset in the ecological balance of a region; changes in weather patterns (clouds, precipitation, cyclones of various types and tornadic storms); changes in climate patterns; changes in ocean currents; changes in the state of the ozone layer; and changes in the state of the ionosphere."

How to Brainwash a Nation (ex-KGB agent explains)
"According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country. It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages."

No refuting the hard truths in the Soviet Story
"The genesis for genocide to rid the world of the weak or unwanted, originated with Karl Marx who, around 1849, wrote: Killing is justified, especially if it cleanses society.”

TrimTabs suggests government manipulated stocks
"The unusual circumstances that led the U.S. market to rally powerfully in 2009 might be explained by secret government moves to buy stocks, according to Charles Biderman, the founder and chief executive of TrimTabs, a research firm that tracks liquidity flows in the market."
