WEEKLY ROUNDUP

"In 1931, when Brave New World was being written, I was convinced that there was still plenty of time. The completely organized society, the scientific caste system, the abolition of free will by methodical conditioning, the servitude made acceptable by regular doses of chemically induced happiness, the orthodoxies drummed in by nightly courses of sleep-teaching - these things were coming all right, but not in my time, not even in the time of my grandchildren....Twenty-seven years later,...I feel a good deal less optimistic... In the West,...individual men and women still enjoy a large measure of freedom. But...this freedom and even the desire for this freedom seem to be on the wane."

Town halls are also carrying out thousands of 'spying' missions under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act. What's In the Water? Why Everyone Needs a Good Filter!

It is now known that the water supply contains over 2,000 cancer and other disease causing chemicals at various concentration levels. Although most all are found at trace levels, one should consider buying a good water filter to reduce their cumulative exposure to these chemicals. Have you ever wondered why cancer rates have skyrocketed in the last 50 years since most of these were introduced? In 1950, 1 in 50 Americans were expected to get cancer - now its one in three.

Some of these chemicals include:

Chlorine: cancer, heart disease, stroke
Anti-Androgens: feminizes males, low sperm count, testicular cancer, man-boobs, genital deformities
Fluoride: cancer, alzheimers, cognitive defects, reproductive problems, thyroid disorders, kidney disease, fluorosis
Arsenic: cancer
Asbestos: cancer
Aluminum: alzheimers
Benzene: cancer, anemia
Mercury: nervous system disorders, kidney disease
Toluene: cancer
Herbicides/Pesticides: cancer, liver disease, heart disease, kidney disease, respiratory problems
Pharmaceutical drugs: long term effects unknown

Here's a closer look at a few of these chemicals.

Given all of the research above and literally thousands of articles and papers available online that explain the many adverse health effects of drinking tap water (and some bottled water), does it make sense to invest in a good water filter to at least reduce your repeated exposure to these toxins? Most are probably not harmful in single doses at the current concentration levels, but it is unknown how repeated exposure to some of these chemicals will impact your health in the long run as they accumulate in your body. Would you be willing to expose yourself to a harmless x-ray every day of your life? One x-ray is not that harmful, but what about 100 in 100 days or 1000 in 1000 days? Think about it! Protect yourself and your family. I'm not here to sell water filters, so I will leave it up to you to determine which filter is best.
